Jo Coppens is a Canary

Jo Coppens comes over on a free transfer from MSV Duisburg (3. Bundesliga).

The 31-year-old Limburger started his professional career at Cercle Brugge in '08/'09. After 6 seasons in the Jupiler Pro League of Belgium, Coppens moved to the Jupiler Pro League of the Netherlands (second division) for the neighbours of MVV Maastricht where he was featured in 74 games in just 2 seasons. He then returned to Belgium with second division team KSV Roeselare for only one season before making the move to Carl Zeiss Jena, in 3. Bundesliga. He appeared in 81 games for the team owned by R. Dûchatelet. After a 6-month stunt in Denmark, Coppens returned to Germany to Unterhaching where he appeared in 17 3. Liga matches. Last year, the Heusden-Zolder native, played in 10 games for MSV Duisburg.
